SITIA is specialized in the development and manufacturing of test benches for wood and furniture industries. SITIA provides turn key test benches and also covers the retrofit operation of existing benches. Moreover, SITIA studies all specific requirements according to customer’s specifications.
Our test rigs follow European standards.



FURNITURE




 Furniture platform (EN 1023, Pr EN 14073, EN 14074, En 1335, EN 12727,  EN 747, EN 1730,   etc.):

This test rig realizes endurance tests and applies vertical and horizontal stress, vertical impacts and shocks. It can be used to test tables, storage units, beds, mattresses, children‘s furniture, kitchen furniture, bathroom furniture, office furniture, outdoor furniture, public area furniture as well as school furniture.
All accessories are provided..




Seat test rig (EN 581, Pr EN 1729, EN 1335, EN 12727, EN 12520, EN 1728):
This bench carries out endurance tests on the base and on the back of a chair by applying a vertical or a horizontal stress.




Test rig for drawers:
This bench carries out endurance tests on drawers. It can open and close the drawer by pulling and pushing the handle. It measures the stress necessary to open the drawer.




Test rig for mattresses:
This bench carries out endurance tests on a mattress thanks to a roller. It also measures forces and displacements, borders fatigue as well as hardness. It can also calculate the firmness of the mattress.



WOOD




 Immersion tank:

This tank contains hot water and allows testing panels.

  




Immersion tank for doors:
This tank contains water and allows the simultaneous testing of two doors.  




Soft-body impact test (EN 162 standard):
A 30 kg sandbag is dropped on a door held horizontally or vertically.




Calibration test rig for force sensors and dynamometers:

This bench is a mobile system placed on a trolley which allows testing the force sensors and the dynamometers in traction and compression.

  




Creep bench:
It can apply loads on the part to be tested as well as measure the bending of it. This bench is equipped with a force sensor and a displacement transducer.




Trolley with racks:
It is used for the drying of tested coatings (wax, varnish…).  




Rig for mechanical tests on windows (EN 107 standard): 
This bench can apply a vertical or a horizontal stress on a window. All the tools (masses and pulleys) are provided.  




Accelerated ageing test:

This bench aims at testing the properties of wood by submitting it to an accelerated ageing test.
